I know it sounds a bit CONTROVERTIAL to post stories that is really happen in my life, but I only post the part when I have someone that is truly special for me. Someone that I can’t just get rid of my brain, the first person that makes my heart forced my mouth to say that I LOVE HIM STILL. ERR… But both of us have moved on and are a much much better person than before. The point is, I just want him to know how much I ADORE him back then *wink hope you enjoy this! Oh and I don’t tell the exact time when does every moment happens J
The STORY of Merilyn Rose has begun….
AN UNEXPECTED PERSONALITY
It is the first day of school, Merilyn got into the place that she’s never imagined before. Her friends in Junior High said that this school would be the last place they will put in their list. But that’s okay, she only has to spend 3 years in this school (well HELLO~ what could be worse than that?)
Like other students, Merilyn (awkay, just call her Lyn) has got to accomplish a three days orientation which is very sucks since she has to beg for signatures of her ancestors I mean the oldest at school or whatever J. Well, she’s doing well and has some of new friends. Fortunately, she’s still with her Junior High best friends *wink There they are, Aryl and Katelyn.
When that time is over, Lyn got into the number 5 class (which she doesn’t even know why in the world this school is put her brainy friend in the number 7 class?). She sits next to Jen who also used to be her classmate in grade 7. Lyn has promised to herself that she won’t play around in the Senior High, she really wants to focus on everything so that she can have the scholarship to Singapore or maybe German. She really wants to make her parents proud for herself and make another great school’s record like what she did back in Junior High.
Time goes by and it has been 2 months since the first day of her school, but why there’s no competition held. She doesn’t feel satisfy with all her great scores, all that she want is just to win a competition. Lyn is dying for it, she asks every teacher about is there any competition being held or maybe does she have to make some kind of research or resume? Well okay, Lyn thinks that she really has picked the wrong school like what her friends have said before. She really thinks that she can’t do everything that she used to do.
In her confuse, a boy suddenly comes to her class and says that he’s one of her classmates. Oh geez.., the school has started since 2 months ago. Where have you been, dork? Her teacher asks her to sit next to this boy now, his name is Agony Morgan. (In a rush, Lyn checks the word Agony on her Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary of Current English and she founds Agony: great pain or suffering of mind and body. Well, that answers the condition of him right now. Welcome to the real world, sist! You’re sitting next to not only a weirdo but also mentally-ill boy)
“Lyn, do you have a heart to sit next to him and tell everything that happens in the last 2 months? I’m counting on you.”
Oh great, how can I reject?
It’s been a month since the first day she sits with Agony and unfortunately he’s never response on every topic that Lyn wants to talk about.
“Hey, what is wrong with you?” He doesn’t even look at her.
“Well, fine. I’d rather go out from this class.”
“Lyn, have you done the English homework? May I look at it?”
“WHAT?! Whatever..”
She can’t even believe it, this guy only want to talk to her when he forgot to do his homework! Okay, enough! I’ve got to move away from my seat!
“How is it going, Lyn?”
“NO HELL WAY, K! Mr. Patrick doesn’t want me to move my seat, he still asks for my favour to help him during this semester! Gosh, he’s a truly bad influence for me.”
Then, Lyn has got to sit with Agony for the whole semester. She’s so sick with him that she doesn’t even want to see his face in class. She doesn’t even care of his existence even though she knows that every time she goes out to the canteen with Aryl and Katelyn for a lunch, he sometimes copy her homework. Well, never mind since she really doesn’t care for him. She stays to her first promise, focus on everything. Forget about having boyfriend, she is tormented enough.
“WHAT?! WORKING IN A GROUP WITH HIM? No fucking way, Jen!”
“But Lyn, he’s the only boy left. What can we do?”
“We can still work with Joe and Ryan. Right, Joe?”
“Mrs. Norah says that there must be at least 3 boys in a group, Lyn.”
Oh great, why am I always stuck with him?!
Okay, so here’s the group: Lyn, Jen, Rein, Joe, Ryan and AGONY. They have to make a research about the development of science and technology in the world. Every day, they do it in Lyn’s house. The thing that Lyn has thought before, Agony comes in the last day of working. There is only 3 of them at her house, Lyn, Jen and AGONY (why do I always type his name in a BIG FONT?). Lyn explains everything about their research, nothing left to talk about. Suddenly, Agony takes her laptop and deletes some of the important things that in his opinion are the “craps”. Lyn is so mad about it, but hey! Agony makes a great design for their presentation that impresses her.
The next day, they do their best on the presentation and get the best score at class. Lyn thanks the whole group for it.
“Hey, I’ve never thought that you can make such a great design.”
“Girl, you’ll never know what’s in my mind before you see it through my hands.”
“Okay.”
Since that day, they can be close like what a chair mate has to be.
“Lyn, what do you think of Fred?”
“Fred? Well, he’s a kind person because he’s the first that talk to me in the first day of school. He even took me home that day. What is it, Agony?”
“No, nothing. He just asked me a favour to ask your opinion about him.”
“How sweet he is. Tell him everything what I’ve told you, will you?”
“Yes, I will.”
Fred takes Lyn home that day and they become really close. Lyn really likes the way Fred treat her, well you can tell. He’s well-built, open-minded, smart ass, such a great personality that he has. But the thing is he can make a girl like Lyn finally having another serious relationship with a guy, because Lyn has been hurt by her ex-boyfriend back in the Junior High. She even made a promise not to have any special relationship again with any guy until she graduates from Senior High School.
Today, Lyn sits next to Fred and ask him to teach her Math. Agony sits next to Felicia, he keeps on staring at Lyn during the lesson.
“You like her, don’t you?”
“I beg your pardon?”
“C’mon! I know it from your eyes, how you stare at her.”
“You gotta be kidding me.”
“Just be honest. I won’t tell anyone. Lyn’s pretty, smart, everyone would like to be her guy.”
“Yeah, you bet. She’s way too perfect. She’s different from any other girl.”
“And why do you say so?”
“She has faith and a big determination; such strong wills that I can see in her heart. She’s a truly perfectionist student, headstrong also.”
“Wow, you’ve confessed that too far big guy.”
“Okay, please don’t tell anyone.”
“I will. And by the way, my name’s Felicia.”
The bell rings and everyone get out from the class. Lyn smiles a moment to Agony and go out with Fred; she will introduce him to her best friends. Aryl and Katelyn are impressed with Fred; all of them are having the best time ever. Fred is a real something guy, he is not only smart but also humorous. That what makes Lyn really has an interest with Fred, but she only wants a friend relation and not more than that. She still sticks to her first promise.
One morning, Lyn doesn’t look very well. She did her homework until late night, not enough sleep nor eats. She sometimes sleeps during the lesson, but Agony always try to wake her up so the teacher wouldn’t have the time to realize that she was sleeping. She doesn’t look as enthusiastic as she used to be. Even when her math teacher asks her to do an example on the white board, she does it by yawning all the time. Fred keeps on laughing every time she yawns, well she doesn’t even care about it since she’s a bit unconscious. When the break time comes, she prefers sleeping in class than going outside for eat. Aryl and Katelyn come to her class while she’s sleeping.
“Agony, what happen to her?”
“I don’t know, Aryl.”
On the next break, she vomits at the girl’s bathroom for several times. She thinks that she’s having heart burn since she hasn’t eaten anything so far. She goes back to her class and suddenly PASS OUT right on Agony’s hand. He immediately brings her to the health room and accompanies her right there until she’s conscious.
“Geez.., what happened?”
“You’ve just passed out. Here, eat some bread. I’ll make you a cup of tea.”
“….”
“Oh, that bread from Aryl and Katelyn. They really wanted to accompany you here, but they’re having chemistry test right now.”
“Well, that’s okay. Where’s Fred?”
“Heeeeeeh…, he doesn’t even care, Lyn.”
“Gosh, that’s fine. I was just asking.”
“Just go to sleep. I’ll take you home.”
When Lyn get home, suddenly she has got call from Fred. He asked what has happened to her, she answers his question one by one. Then she said to him that she’s really tired and need some sleep.
The next day, Lyn has to stay at home because she’s still sick. She really wants to go to school, but her mother doesn’t allow her. She’s making lots and lots of reasons why she has to go to school that day, but her mother still doesn’t allow her to go. She also promises to call Mr. Patrick and say that she’s sick today, that’s why she’s absent. Agony sits next to Felicia again today. He really likes her, because she’s just like living in her own spotlights, she’s so funny and every jokes that she makes are easy listening. It doesn’t take long for them to be close each other, finally Agony finds his best friend at school.
“Agony, thanks for your help.”
“Never mind.”
“Do you think I’m really heavy when you lifted me up?”
“Yes, how do you eat much but you still skinny like that?”
“Only God knows hahahahaha.”
Lyn thinks that she has wrong thoughts about Agony so far, she always thinks that Agony never care for anyone. All that he care about is his own life and things. But since the thing that Agony did to Lyn, she feels that we can’t always judge book by its cover. The proof is, she wouldn’t realize that Agony can be like this or even be close with him right now if she didn’t pass out and lifted by Agony at that time. Lyn really thanks God for the ”now” Agony. He’s not like the first Agony that she knew who doesn’t care about everything. He know has a bit of care to everything that happens in his environment, also to the lessons. His scores are getting higher and higher, these things make Lyn feel proud of herself.
AN UNIMAGINABLE FIGHT
Now, Lyn has become really close with Agony. She feels great when there’s Agony next to her, they can talk about everything for hours. She also feels so comfortable if there’s Agony by her side, she can forget about all her problems for a moment. Because she has become really close with Agony right now, she doesn’t really care about Fred anymore. It all because she can’t believe why Fred doesn’t care or even want to know when she passed out instead of Agony that he spent his time to accompany her, despite the fact that they’re in the same class! Aryl and Katelyn don’t like the way she stays away from Fred, because they think that Fred is innocent. He could have been so busy back then since he’s the leader of the football club and the teachers are always counting on him. To be honest, Aryl feels that Lyn has some special interest to Agony but she always denies it. Lyn says that she can’t fall in love with a guy that quick, so she wants Aryl and Katelyn to understand the situation.
“Lyn, tell me how you feel right now?”
“Oh please, I’ve told you zillion times Aryl.”
“You know that you can’t lie from me.”
“Yes, Lyn. Okay, let’s stop this stupid conversation. Why don’t go shopping?”
“Well, that’s better. Today after school. Is it okay, K?”
“Sorry, but I’ve got to rehearse for the marching band competition.”
“Oh c’mon, Aryl.”
“Sorry, K. Both of you just go, have some fun.”
Just like Lyn, Aryl also has the same trouble with guy. She has a crush with a guy in her class, his name is Archie. He is quite attractive and really smart in English, their English teacher likes him a lot because he always active in class. Unfortunately, lots of girls in her class also has a crush on him. But she can’t believe it when suddenly Archie starts to approach her and even ask for her number. At night, Archie always texts her and calls her. She feels so happy to be this close with Archie, but she’s so afraid to tell it to her friends. They won’t agree with Archie, they want someone that is much much better than him since Aryl is just like the mother in their friendship.
It started when Archie asks her about the English homework, he doesn’t understand it very well. Aryl was stunned when she saw Archie in front of her table, in other side she also couldn’t believe that someone that is so smart in English like Archie doesn’t understand something so simple like this. Then, Aryl taught him about it. She even asked for Lyn’s favour since she’s very intelligent in all subjects.
“Thanks, Aryl.”
“My pleasure.”
“Hey, can I have your number so then I can ask you about homework even when I at home?”
“Okay.”
Both of them become really close after that day, she even finds Archie is such a kind person.
After school, Lyn and Katelyn go out for shopping. They talk along the way, Katelyn still ask about Lyn’s feeling to Agony for several times but she still denies it. Katelyn really sure that Lyn has a feeling to Agony, she can feels it (doesn’t mean that she’s some kind of psychic or something). They go from store to store, buy lots and lots of shirt, T-shirt, dress and even bags. After that, they go to a diner and eat there.
“Lyn, I’m not sure with Harold’s feeling with me?”
“And why is it?”
“Well, he always texts me at night or even calls me but he never wants to talk with me in class.”
“Maybe he’s just shy, you know guys are like that.”
“Yeah, maybe you’re right. At least, say something.”
“Have you ever asked him first? To talk with you.”
“I have and he giggled.”
“What?! Haha. I’ve told you he’s shy.”
Then, Katelyn tells about Aryl and Archie. Lyn is so shocked because Aryl never told her about it, especially when Katelyn says that Aryl is not the only girl which Archie is approaching. She really wants to call Aryl that time, but Katelyn says that it’s much better if Aryl be honest to them first. She doesn’t want a fight among her friends.
At home, Katelyn sits in front of her PC, doing plenty of homeworks. While doing her homeworks, she thinks about her friends’ problems. She thinks why her friends can have such complicated problems with guy, is guy that important for them? Guys can only make troubles if they have been so close with us, and of course they will only consider us as a puppet to be boasted on to their friends. NOT MORE! Finally she’s done all of that home works (I’m glad), then she starts to write her diary like usual. In there, she writes about her opinion on Aryl and Katelyn’s problems, about Fred and Agony, her activities at school, her achievements, Agony, her class that is always noisy, Agony, her great friends in class, Agony. Hey, why am I always write something about Agony? Oh Gosh, am I having a crush on him just like what Aryl and K talking about? Because she thinks that her imagination has gone too far, she decides to turn off her PC and sleeps. She doesn’t want any thoughts annoy herself or even her intention in life. Sleep is a much better thing to do than thinking about something useless. Good night J

Oh please, Fred). Fred hates Agony so much and when Lyn’s group present their research in front of the class, Fred is always be the first person who asks Agony about everything. Well unfortunately, Agony can answer it right. When it’s time for Fred’s group, Agony always denies their thoughts with great statements. Finally the bell rings, Fred reports the thing to Mrs. Norah. He feels cheated and intimidated by Agony and Lyn (Whoa, what’s wrong with Lyn?). They don’t know that Felicia is eavesdropping and she tells Lyn also Agony about it instantly. All night long, Lyn can’t stop thinking about it, she’s so afraid if her score will be cut by Mrs. Norah because of mental abused that is accused on her.

But she can’t believe it when suddenly Archie starts to approach her and even ask for her number. At night, Archie always texts her and calls her. She feels so happy to be this close with Archie, but she’s so afraid to tell it to her friends. They won’t agree with Archie, they want someone that is much much better than him since Aryl is just like the mother in their friendship.
It started when Archie asks her about the English homework, he doesn’t understand it very well. Aryl was stunned when she saw Archie in front of her table, in other side she also couldn’t believe that someone that is so smart in English like Archie doesn’t understand something so simple like this. Then, Aryl taught him about it. She even asked for Lyn’s favour since she’s very intelligent in all subjects.
“Thanks, Aryl.”
“My pleasure.”
“Hey, can I have your number so then I can ask you about homework even when I at home?”
“Okay.”
Both of them become really close after that day, she even finds Archie is such a kind person.
After school, Lyn and Katelyn go out for shopping. They talk along the way, Katelyn still ask about Lyn’s feeling to Agony for several times but she still denies it. Katelyn really sure that Lyn has a feeling to Agony, she can feels it (doesn’t mean that she’s some kind of psychic or something). They go from store to store, buy lots and lots of shirt, T-shirt, dress and even bags. After that, they go to a diner and eat there.
“Lyn, I’m not sure with Harold’s feeling with me?”
“And why is it?”
“Well, he always texts me at night or even calls me but he never wants to talk with me in class.”
“Maybe he’s just shy, you know guys are like that.”
“Yeah, maybe you’re right. At least, say something.”
“Have you ever asked him first? To talk with you.”
“I have and he giggled.”
“What?! Haha. I’ve told you he’s shy.”
Then, Katelyn tells about Aryl and Archie. Lyn is so shocked because Aryl never told her about it, especially when Katelyn says that Aryl is not the only girl which Archie is approaching. She really wants to call Aryl that time, but Katelyn says that it’s much better if Aryl be honest to them first. She doesn’t want a fight among her friends.
At home, Katelyn sits in front of her PC, doing plenty of homeworks. While doing her homeworks, she thinks about her friends’ problems. She thinks why her friends can have such complicated problems with guy, is guy that important for them? Guys can only make troubles if they have been so close with us, and of course they will only consider us as a puppet to be boasted on to their friends. NOT MORE! Finally she’s done all of that home works (I’m glad), then she starts to write her diary like usual. In there, she writes about her opinion on Aryl and Katelyn’s problems, about Fred and Agony, her activities at school, her achievements, Agony, her class that is always noisy, Agony, her great friends in class, Agony. Hey, why am I always write something about Agony? Oh Gosh, am I having a crush on him just like what Aryl and K talking about? Because she thinks that her imagination has gone too far, she decides to turn off her PC and sleeps. She doesn’t want any thoughts annoy herself or even her intention in life. Sleep is a much better thing to do than thinking about something useless. Good night J
It’s almost a month since the first day Lyn started to stay away from Fred and that’s how long Fred has been asking why Lyn stays away from him. Not only to Lyn but also to Aryl and Katelyn, even Agony. Fred doesn’t like how close Lyn and Agony right now, he thinks that it’s totally too much. He can’t believe that he can be beaten by a guy like Agony, he’s just a dork in their class! It’s so unbelievable when he knows that Lyn and Agony almost every time in a group together which makes Agony always goes to Lyn house after school (of course with the other, not only two of them. Oh please, Fred). Fred hates Agony so much and when Lyn’s group present their research in front of the class, Fred is always be the first person who asks Agony about everything. Well unfortunately, Agony can answer it right. When it’s time for Fred’s group, Agony always denies their thoughts with great statements. Finally the bell rings, Fred reports the thing to Mrs. Norah. He feels cheated and intimidated by Agony and Lyn (Whoa, what’s wrong with Lyn?). They don’t know that Felicia is eavesdropping and she tells Lyn also Agony about it instantly. All night long, Lyn can’t stop thinking about it, she’s so afraid if her score will be cut by Mrs. Norah because of mental abused that is accused on her.
